SLOW DOWN FASHION CLOTHES SWAP : JULY 2022

We were so excited to host our first slow-fashion event!

Every clothes swap event is a little bit different, this is how our first one went: 

– You could bring up to 5 items (clothes, shoes, accessories). We asked that clothes must be on hangers, so we could easily put them out into the swap space. They must not be damaged or dirty. Please be aware that once handed in you cannot get your garment back unless you choose it in the swap.

– You could swap for as many clothes as you bring (eg. If you only wanted to bring 3 garments, you could only leave with 3 garments)

– You could drop off your clothing between 2-3pm, giving us some time to set up! Then you could visit the Exchange bar with food and drink

– Any left over clothing was donated to Smart Works or North East Homeless

We were fortunate that The Exhange has live jazz on a Sunday and there was a wonderful art exhibition by friend of the shop @sandrarutter_
